Ghada Amer

My and Amer's work is pretty similar. We both include social issues, including sexuality and female identity. The use of color in her works is absolutely marvelous. In her intricate fabric work, the artist seeks to present a representation of the nude female body which is self-aware from the burden of the male gaze through needlework, a traditionally female discipline.
